Jeanie Shaw is a lifelong minister and PhD candidate in the field of Christian Spirituality and Formation, and while we were catching up at a coffeeshop, she answered questions I’ve been wrestling with about using my creative freedom within community expectations. This episode has my reflections on her answers.
I asked Jeanie:
- Have members of your faith community been offended by your writing?
- How do you navigate conflict with no avenue of agreement as an out?
- What if I put out an exploratory piece then, down the line, have a change of mind?
If these questions are yours as well, I hope exploring some answers with me is helpful!
This is also the last episode of Creatively, Yours. I may post again in the future, but the monthly schedule is now at an end. Tune into the audio for more details, and my best wishes and prayers are with your creative endeavors. You’re made in the image of the Creator. Because of that, no creative endeavor is in vain.
